Opening and Consecration of one of Europe’s largest Shiva Temples in Estonia, Lilleoru

It is with great pleasure and reverence that we announce the upcoming opening and consecration of one of Europe’s largest Shiva temples, located in Lilleoru, Estonia. This monumental event, set for June 10th, 2024, marks a significant milestone in the spiritual landscape of Europe. The Shiva temple complex spans an impressive 5500 m² and is situated in the picturesque region of Lilleoru, near the Estonian capital, Tallinn.
Ingvar Villido Acharya Ishwarananda, founder of the Shiva Temple, teacher of kriya yoga, and founder of the Kriya Yoga Center in Lilleoru, has been instrumental in realizing this project. “The Shiva temple symbolizes our dedication to the eternal teachings of Sanatana Dharma, following the footsteps of the great Rishis and Siddhas. We have been honored to build the temple according to the Aagama Silpa Saasthra Rules,” said Ishwarananda.

The temple, meticulously constructed following the ancient Indian architectural principles of Aagama Silpa Saasthra, was designed by Shilpa Ratna Sthabadhi Dhanabal Mayilvel and Manivel Mayilvel from the Shri Thenkani Traditional Architecture Hindu Temple Construction & Sculpture Group in Tamilnadu, India
The consecration ceremony, Maha Kumbhabhishekam, will be conducted by Shrila Shri S. Boopathi Shivacharya Swamigal, Aadhi Pada Vedu Sonasalam Simmasanam 32nd Aadhinam Gayathri Guru Beedam Head Priest, and priest Venkatesh Jayaram
from Tamilnadu, India. This sacred ritual marks the sanctification and infusion of divine energy into the temple premises, making it a spiritually potent site for devotees.
The temple houses numerous sacred statues that embody various divine forces, providing devotees with a profound connection to divine energy. These statues represent deities such as Lord Shri Karpaga Nadhar, Mother Brahand Nayagi, Shri Ganapathy, Shri Bala Murugar, Saptha Rishis, Navanaths, 18 Siddhas, Navagrahas and others.
The week-long consecration process started today on June 4th and will conclude on June 13th, with the main event on June 10th. The ceremonies, which will include traditional rituals, prayers, and cultural festivities, are expected to draw hundreds of guests from India and Europe.
The establishment of the Shiva temple is not just an architectural marvel but also a beacon of spiritual guidance and a center for ethical living and ultimate liberation according to the Sanatana Dharma tradition. It emphasizes the eternal spirit (atman) within everyone, part of the divine essence, and will bring bountiful blessings.

The consecration ceremony will also be broadcast globally via Facebook Live. For more information about the temple and the consecration ceremony, visit the Shiva Temple Estonia website: shivatemple.lilleoru.ee or http://www.lilleoru.ee.
